WiLab – a simple data-logger for measurement and control

The CMA WiLab is an easy-to-use data-logger for STEM Education that can be used for measurement and control. WiLab offers two types of connectivity:
wired via USB cable for computers (Windows and Mac), and Android tablets (via OTG cable),
wireless via Bluetooth® for tablets (iPad, Android) and Chromebooks.
WiLab is equipped with its own processor and memory, enabling measurements at high sampling rates up to 100 000 Hz with accurate independent timing. It has FLASH memory to allow easy upgrade of the internal software (firmware) and to store measured data. For connecting sensors WiLab has two analog BT sensor inputs, Additionally WiLab has two controllable built-in devices, a buzzer and a RGB LED, which can be used in simple control experiments.

Using WiLab with a computer (MAC and Windows)

Via the provided USB cable WiLab can be connected to a USB port of a computer and work as a lab interface. The Coach or Coach Lite program (version 7.5 or later) running on the computer controls WiLab. The collected data are transferred to the computer, the measurement can be followed on the computer screen and the collected data can be analysed in Coach. The USB cable is provided with WiLab.

Using WiLab with a iPad, Android tablet and Chromebook

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communications technology for exchanging information. WiLab is equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy Insight ISP1507 module, which supports Bluetooth 4 and Bluetooth 5 with the devices that are suitable for this.  The Coach or Coach Lite program (version 7.6 or later) running on a tablet or a Chromebook controls WiLab. The collected data are transferred to the tablet, the measurement can be followed on the tablet screen and the collected data can be analysed in Coach.
